Read and Contemplate John 20: 1-2, 11-18

Mary was the first to witness the risen Christ. Throughout

Jesus’ suffering and bloody death, the intensity of Mary’s faith

never diminished and at the resurrection, Mary witnessed Jesus

in another form, no longer subject to the laws of the flesh. Jesus

was ready for a new mode of existence and a new set of

relationships. Jesus had moved from the temporal to the eternal,

but was still alive and active.

Questions to Ponder:

  1. Do I seek Jesus in love?
  2. Do I search for fulfillment in earthly beings instead of

Jesus?

  1. Do I pray for a heart overflowing with thanks and give

Jesus my life?

Conclusion:

Mary loved Jesus. She was fortunate to know the love and

fulfillment that comes from loving Jesus. A relationship with Jesus is

the deepest, most intimate relationship we can have. Women tend to

feel that if they do not have a great love in human form they are

missing something. They close themselves off from Jesus and what

He offers. All they have to do is look to Jesus. Jesus offers

something that cannot be found with humans.

you for all you have given to me and I offer it up to you in glory and praise

of you and your father. Let me be like Mary Magdalene and love you with

all that is I. Let me find in you what I cannot find in things of this world.

Let me live as one of yours for all eternity. Amen

Finally at long last a dream of mine has come to fruition. Of course it didn’t happen without a lot of work, procrastinating and finally biting the bullet and doing the necessary final steps. Women of the Bible: A Study is available in print and kindle formats.

 

 

Several years ago a traditional publisher picked it up and published it in an ebook. It sold no copies and after a year the publisher dropped the book. Fortunately for me since the book was available in Kindle I left the book on Amazon. Of course I removed the publishers logo. Anyway in the intervening years I kept on telling myself that I wanted to release the book in print as well as Kindle, but with the writing, editing and publishing of the Twelve Pillars trilogy I didn’t make the time to do it.

Last week I finally decided that the time had come to quit making excuses and stop procrastinating and just do it. Or I guess God decided it was time. You see for the years when the book was still on Kindle without a traditional publisher it was selling. Maybe not a million dollars worth but it was selling and I was recieving payments from Amazon on a regular basis. At times it even seemed as if it was selling more than my other three books and I wasn’t even trying to market it. Every once in a while I would mention it in my promotional efforts, but for the most part paid little attention to it. But like the little engine that could, Women of the Bible just kept chugging along bringing me a small commission check every so often.

Anyway the time finally opened up and I took the final steps to bring it to print. I put a brand new beautiful cover on it and redid some of the prayers and thoughts inside. And on Saturday May 2, 2015 I released the book in print and re-released it on Kindle.
