Book Review: March

Book Review: March

Author: Geraldine Brooks

An overall enjoyable read as we follow the journey of Mr. March, the absent father, from Louisa May Alcott’s, Little Women. We see his journey as he leaves his family, with high ideals about the glory of war, and his  slow fall from those delusional heights.

His story told through his eyes, portrays the Civil War in all its gory glory without the reader being grossed out. Mr. March’s emotional and physical changes are portrayed well and we feel Mr. March’s slow fall from his unrealistic heights.
