I am not worthy that he should enter my house. How many of us are worthy, yet God comes to us, waits for us to invite Him in. He happily takes each one of our unworthy souls and molds it into a vessel that is worthy. What do we have to do? The answer is simple, yet so many of us struggle with it. Pray and praise. Sacrifice our selfish sinful ways to be made clean and worthy in His eyes. Trust Him, trust that He knows best and in His time a new you will be revealed.
This Advent is a good time to start that journey. So like we say at mass: Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof; only say the word and I trust that I will see the healing you have in store for me. (prayer from The Word Among Us meditation for Monday, December 2 2013).
