I don’t have much to share today and you probably won’t here from me until Monday. This is going to be a big writing weekend for me with a little bit of life thrown in between.

My newest goal is to reach 50000 before Thanksgiving. You will note I did not say finish the story, just reach the 50k before Thursday. As of I think around Tuesday of this past week my characters ran away with my story. Like my children and household I am no longer in control. Everytime I sit down to write, the characters do something unexpected. They have taken over the story and I know with the way things are going that 50k will not be enough words to finish their story and what was at one time the second book in a trilogy may become the third and fourth book in a quad or quint because I think the third book is plotting for a takeover too.

Anyway now for the word count. As of last night I had 39047 words. So I think 50k by Thursday is doable, what do you think.
