So it’s almost the end so I thought I’d look back and see what I learned.
First lesson: Writing a blog post almost everyday for thirty one days is a daunting task, and not one I want to repeat too soon. Not that it wasn’t fun, but trying to come up with a subject every day was difficult. And yes I am a writer and I should have a plethora ideas, but narrowing down that plethora can prove to be difficult.
This challenge helped me to do some soul-searching as I wrote about what I thought were my goals for the year, only to learn that the goals although good goals were not the ones that were calling to me. A passion was reawakened as I focused on new/old project.
I learned that I could do the challenge, granted I was six days short. I don’t consider that a failure though, because there were still twenty five days that I wrote. I can make a commitment, I can do the work, and I can have success. I got up each morning for twenty five days, avoided distractions and wrote. I showed up and with Butt in Chair and Hands on the Keyboard (sometimes with paper and pencil) and I wrote. I overcame obstacles like my blog going down.

Probably the most important lesson learned here: I will continue to write for my blog, but it won’t be every day, I will try for once a week some sort of post, either a post sharing a book promo for my own books or someone else’s. I need to get back to promoting my own work. I will also continue to occasionally post articles on topics that interest me, like dragons.
So until we meet again, Bensvelk Kear.
will look forward to more dragons in your posts..
Congrats Chris! I think the big lesson for many is now that the challenge is over, we can keep a schedule of writing a few blogs each week! Blog on and get ready for April challenge!
Yes it definitely is a challenge, a real lesson in discipline. My pattern has been to get ‘er done before I go to bed. One more to do today.
You all come back now, ya hear?
Congratulations! It certainly was a daunting task and you did well. I know for sure l couldn’t do a daily blog, but it jump started the blog that l was starting to ignore so it served it’s purpose. I hope to keep it up. Good luck!
It was nice to meet you during this challenge! I always try to write at least the shell of each blog post before the challenge begins, so I have the topic chosen, maybe some pictures in the post, and then if it isn’t completely finished, I go back and add a quote or a video or more info to the body of the post. I don’t think i could do the challenges if I didn’t do it that way.
I might have to try that next time.
